Annie Mame & Company All Decked Out For The Holidays

My first holiday season in retail, alrighty then, we’ll see how this goes. I opened my Annie Mame boutique at Venetucci Home in Westbrook, Connecticut this past spring and now I am in Madison, Connecticut at Domestic Possessions. It has been nothing short of a whirlwind, but all the while I have been surrounded by creatives which is such a wonderful feeling. My learning curve has been great, but I am listening and watching and trying to learn from those who have been at this retail game for years. In this economy this has been very interesting to see what people are looking for. So many shop on line, but for me I love the eye candy you get from walking into all the little shops across Connecticut and seeing all the hard work shopkeepers have accomplished. I don’t ever want there to be a time when main street U.S.A disappears from the New England landscape it’s what makes us so special. So here are the photos of my shop and those surrounding me, come see us.

    Dear Ann,
I receive Annie Mame emails and enjoy them so.
My adult daughter wants a 1930′s type dressing gown–like those worn by Catharine Hepburn in the movies. She wears size small. Do you have anything like that, or know where I might find it. I’ve been looking on ebay.
    Thank you,
    Mary-Catherine McHenry
