Annie Mame Is On The Move!
Alrighty then, I have tried my hand at retail, since the start of 2012 and I “really, really like it” (ode to actress Sally Fields when she made her Oscar winning acceptance speech). So I am moving up the shoreline a tad from Westbrook, Connecticut to Madison. I will be reopening Annie Mame in a larger space at the already well established Domestic Possessions, in business since 2009. Other boutiques that were along side me at Venetucci Home will also be headed there and in place in September.
As I did the first time, I’ll take you along with pictures so you can see the “befores” and the “afters” as I refashion an empty space.
Domestic Possessions is full of wonderful consignment pieces and boutiques with new merchandise and they are also transforming to make room for many wonderful shops under one roof. Affordable, fun and inspirational items that you can pick up to change a room, find a gift for a friend, a special item for a wedding, there will be new clothing options too, you name it you’ll find it there.
I’m picking out paint colors now with one of my best friends from Clinton, Connecticut who is a 6th grade math teacher who has an eye for great things, and a gal from Westbrook who can sew like nobody’s business to make it a fun place to go. Here’s to anew adventure in a new place…here we go! Oh, and for those of you who have been to my place in Westbrook, the big red bar is coming with me to Madison.

Sounds like a good move. I think it will do better in Madison and still be on the Post Road. The Westbrook location was chic but hard to park and not the best location for Mame. She will do better where Agnes Gooch
can also shop.
I just LOVE Domestic Possessions!! I try to go at least once a week since it seems to change and have new great things every day! I am sure that you are going to be a fabulous addition to an already great place!!! Good Luck!!
