Everyday, I mean everyday the seaside Venetucci Home is changing and that is why I love being on the ground floor of what Tony Venetucci is creating in Westbrook, Connecticut. Not only is there a furniture store and a gourmet market and a Parisian-style boutique hall in which I have Annie Mame, but now “the courtyard” at Venetucci Home is taking shape. My boutique overlooks this area and it’s right next to the art gallery too, double doors lead you out into the open space. Tony’s vision is a mini New York City, Bryant Park. Have you ever been to that beautiful spot in the city? It’s where the famed Fashion Week is held and all kinds of other outdoor events. Over the holidays Bryant Park has beautiful pop-up retailers under tents and restaurants and in the winter time there is a skating park there, won’t be one here, but there will be everything else.
Tony’s take on Bryant Park is outdoor vendors, who have patio furniture and big pottery and urns, and flower baskets galore and anything else you can think of that might be found outside, maybe even a fishpond. The spots are filling up fast but there are still openings for just the right retailers, we could be neighbors. For more information on consigning or renting a spot, you can email Tony’s right hand gal, Diane Gardner. Here’s her email. firstname.lastname@example.org
