Well this was fun, Annie Mame and Allusions Salon and Boutique became a recording studio for a Sunday afternoon. Yep, we were invaded by the Real Life Survival Guide gang headed by long time former WPLR radio host Bruce Barber. The deal is Bruce runs around putting all kinds of people together in all kinds of venues, kind of a cocktail party of sorts (though we had water and coffee) and leads conversations about, well, life and matters that surround it. He records it and then it becomes a podcast where you all can listen to it any time. We did Episode #45 at our place at Venetucci Home and we treated the gang to all kinds of wonderful food that Venetucci has in it’s brand new gourmet market. So the folks around the red bar at Annie Mame included of course Bruce Barber, architect and author, Duo Dickinson, Tony Venetucci of Venetucci Home, Francine Piscitelli of Allusions Salon and Boutique, Eileen Kaplan, a breast cancer survivor and author of Laughter Is The Breast Medicine, and myself. Shooting photos and video for this little extravaganza was Gary Choronzy of Connecticut Websites who built the Annie Mame web site. Also dropping by to eavesdrop were good friends Missy Mitko and Mary Beth Breen, it was fun to have a little audience. The topics were: House and Home, Self care, Relationships, Parenting, Money, Careers, and “The Little Things”. So there you have it. This airs Sunday, May 6th, 2012 on WNPR (90.5 FM) at 4:30 p.m. Then it will be in the archives.
