A non-profit organization”Bring Our Music Back” based in Old Lyme, Connecticut is puttin on the ritz, make that the glitz, and hosting the first annual Holiday Festival of Trees and Music to benefit children and music in the Nutmeg state.
I get to emcee this event and be among the 30 plus gorgeous trees to be auctioned off for the cause. There will be food and dancing and it’s affordable…50 bucks a couple. We will be auctioning off these fully decorated trees tonight and they will stay on display for two weeks at the Lyme Art Association so everybody can see them, and then at the end of that the local Lions Club will deliver them to your doorstep in time for the holidays.
This is about a whole bunch of people giving dozens and dozens of hours of their time to make this happen. In the video below, you see Josh Chalmers of Madison, Connecticut hoisting a tree to the ceiling upside down. He is overseeing this event and that’s all he does is give of his time. Josh is president of the “Life Is Good” Foundation for children and is the guy who puts on all those festivals, just can’t say enough about him or the folks at Bring Our Music Back. So again…come on out tonight and join us, this is really going to be fun and meaningful to all of those who have worked so hard to make this happen.
Local businesses have donated the trees for the cause and they are stunning, even have a Mad Men tree, how great would that look in your house this year, because it would scream “hey I’m hip.”
