So I picked up the cards today for the blog and decided to give a little meaning behind the name.
For obvious reasons, Annie Mame was derived from Waterbury, Connecticut native, actress Rosiland Russell’s film portrayal of Auntie Mame, and of course I own her biography.
The movie which debuted in 1957, just fits my personality and so I embraced it years ago. Kind of a fairy godmother type creature who tries to sprinkle a little sparkle dust wherever possible and is just a tad “out there, ” yep, that’s me.
My favorite structure bar none is the Chrysler Building in New York City, and of course I have a cookie jar shaped liked the iconic art deco skyscraper.
And because it’s spring in New England I wanted to see how the colors I chose popped against the purples in my yard.
In keeping with my theme of supporting small business in Connecticut, I had them printed at a wonderful shop that has been in business for more than 25 years. It’s called “Two Ems.”
